A flood warning remains in force for the low lying areas and small streams from Vatukacevaceva to Rakiraki Town.

A flood alert remains in force for the low lying areas, small streams and areas adjacent to major rivers for Vanua Levu, Taveuni and Viti Levu and remains in force for the low lying areas and small streams from Nasivi to Tavua Town and low lying areas and small streams from Dreketilailai to Qawa River.

The Nadi Weather Office says that a heavy rain warning remains in force for the whole of Fiji.

They say that an active trough of low pressure with associated cloud and rain remains slow moving over Fiji.

The Weather Office says people can expect periods of rain, heavy at times and squally thunderstorms.

Localised heavy rain may lead to flooding of low lying areas.

The Nadi Weather Office also says that a strong wind warning is now in force for the land areas of Northern Vanua Levu, Western and Northern Viti Levu that includes Sigatoka, Nadi, Lautoka, Ba, Tavua, Rakiraki and Tailevu, Yasawa, Mamanuca and Lomaiviti group and nearby smaller islands.

Meanwhile, all roads in Rakiraki Town are currently closed to all to all traffic due to floodwaters.

The National Fire Authority has also confirmed that Naqoro flats is also closed due to flood waters.
