President Jioji Konusi Konrote will be part of the opening ceremony of the 21st Commonwealth Games that will be held at the Gold Coast in Australia.
Konrote will visit Team Fiji and is expected to watch some members of the team during their participation in their various sporting events.
During his visit to Australia, Konrote will pay a courtesy call to the Governor-General Sir Peter Cosgrove.
Konrote is also expected to visit the Fiji Mission in Canberra and meet with members of the Fijian diaspora.
Konrote left the country for the Gold Coast today and will return on Sunday.
The Chief Justice Anthony Gates will act as President in accordance with the Constitution.
