The USA 7s team will be one of the favourites for the Hong Kong 7s title as they boast their full strength team for a quest to win their first ever Hong Kong 7s.
It could be a total nightmare for the Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s team as they could face USA in the quarter-finals barring any upsets.
The Mike Friday coached side lost to South Africa in last year’s Hong Kong 7s but has been regarded as one of the most lethal side in the 2017/2018 World Sevens Series.
Friday says they know that they have the potential to win a tournament but admits that consistency is not on their side at times.
South Africa, New Zealand, Australia and England have sent in their development squads this weekend but the Americans come at full strength and are still flying high after winning the Las
Vegas 7s for the very first time.
They are in pool D with Argentina, Wales and France.
