A man has pleaded not guilty to two counts of rape before Suva High Court Judge Justice, Daniel Goundar.
However he has pleaded guilty to one count of indecent assault.
The man is alleged to have raped and indecently assaulted his granddaughter between the 1st of January to the 31st of December last year in Kadavu.
It was heard in court today that the granddaughter was below the age of 13 when the alleged offence was committed.
He has been remanded in custody and the case has been adjourned to the 1st of June.
