Fiji born Waisake Naholo will be starting for the Highlanders when they take on the Sharks in their Super Rugby Clash this weekend.
Head Coach Aaron Mager has also included co‑captain Ben Smith who will be returning to his familiar fullback position, while utility Sio Tomkinson starts on the left‑wing for the injured Tevita Li.
The Highlanders, pipped by the Sharks at home in their last meeting in 2016.
Mauger has also rotated Shannon Frizell back into the No 6 jersey at the expense of Elliot Dixon and switched Aki Seiuli and regular starter Daniel Lienert‑Brown.
The Highlanders will face the Sharks at 3.15am Sunday while the Chiefs meet the Jagures at 7.35 tonight.
