Fiji born Highlanders winger Waisake Naholo has extended his contract to stay with the Highlander until the end of next season.

Naholo arrived from the Blues in 2015 and played a big part in securing the Highlanders first championship and was also part of the World Cup winning All Blacks in that year.

The crowd favourite has scored 36 tries for the Highlanders and remains their most potent finisher.

The Highlanders have also renewed All Blacks flanker Liam Squire’s contract until the end of 2019.

Highlanders head coach Aaron Mauger is pleased to have some certainty in his playing stocks moving forward.

The Highlanders will take on the Lions at 7.35pm Saturday.
