Hurricanes star Nehe Milner‑Skudder says he's happy with the competition within the squad at the moment, with a number of players in contention for the three outside back positions.

The  27-year-old made his return to the starting line up for the Hurricanes last week, playing 65 minutes at fullback in his side's 28‑19 win in Wellington.

The competition is between Jordie Barrett, Julian Savea, Wes Goosen, Vince Aso and Ben Lam who has been in remarkable form.

Milner‑Skudder has praised the depth of the current Hurricanes squad ahead of the all New Zealand showdown against the Blues.

Milner‑Skudder also says he's ready for a return to international rugby, should he get the call up for New Zealand's June test series against France.

The Blues face the Hurricanes in the opening match of Round 13 of the Super Rugby competition at 7.35pm Friday.
