Police will soon question the driver of the vehicle that was involved in an accident that claimed the lives of two 68-year-old women in Waimalika, Nadi.
The alleged incident occurred after 10pm yesterday.
The two were passengers in a vehicle which collided with a bus which was headed towards Nadi.
It is alleged that the driver fell asleep causing the vehicle veer onto the opposite lane.
Two other passengers which includes a 7‑year‑old boy and the driver of the vehicle are admitted at the Nadi Hospital as investigations continue.
The road death toll currently stands at 22 compared to 19 for the same period last year.
