Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama has stated that in line with the steady stream of empty promises and flat‑out lies of SODELPA and National Federation Party, both will now vow to build the world's fastest mobile hospital which will provide miracle cures.
While commissioning the “MLC Veivueti” vessel at the Government Shipping Services Dock in Suva yesterday, Bainimarama stated that SODELPA and NFP are not driven by principle adding that SODLEPA and NFP are driven by desperate attempts to remain relevant in an economy where all of their accusations and critiques have been proven wrong.
The vessel “MLC Veivueti” is a ship that will operate as a floating, mobile hospital the first of its kind in Fiji.
The 46 metre vessel is specifically designed and built to provide both primary and secondary medical services and rapid response to emergencies.
When contacted by Fijivillage, NFP’s Leader Professor Biman Prasad says the fact that Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama can use taxpayers funded event to stoop to gutter‑level and launch attacks at the NFP and its Leader sums up his political morality, character and credibility.
Prasad says this is sign of desperate despair from a government and its leader to remain in power on the face of rising tide of change and the haphazard implementation of the CARE for Fiji program that has lost its objective of providing rehabilitation for flood victims, another sign of a government gone berserk.
He also highlighted that the Prime Minister may have been a good captain of a navy boat during his career in the Fiji navy, but he is least qualified to be at the helm of the nation adding that Bainimarama has been leading a rudderless regime.
He stressed that the NFP is a 55-year-old political party and all their leaders have and are giants of their time in their ability, understanding and perception of the problems facing Fiji.
Meanwhile, SODELPA’s Leader, Sitiveni Rabuka has refused to make a comment.
