The Bank of the South Pacific and Post Fiji Limited today renewed the Memorandum of Understanding signed in 2013 which will jointly deliver financial services to people in rural areas.
Speaking at today’s signing, BSP Country Manager Kevin McCarthy says this renewal will improve access to quality financial services for Fiji’s rural and unbanked citizens.
He adds that this collaboration with Post Fiji indicates how both companies have delivered on their services.
McCarthy adds that services at Post Fiji will also be expanded at the end of the year to accommodate other bank card holders in rural areas.
There are total of 42 BSP postal agencies in Fiji out of which 34 are Post Fiji premises and others are community operated postal agencies.
The MOU signed today will carry through till the year 2020.
