A woman charged with bribery of a public official has pleaded not guilty before Suva Magistrate Liyanage Wickramasekara.

It is alleged that Meena Devi Prasad without lawful authority offered to provide $10,000 to a public official to make a passport of a Chinese national, between the 18th and the 22nd of January this year in Suva.

Prasad’s bail has been extended and the case has been adjourned to the 30th of this month.
