England soccer manager, Gareth Southgate says he "didn't particularly like" his side's performance despite beating Panama 6‑1 to secure qualification to the knockout stages of the FIFA World Cup.

Harry Kane hit a hat‑trick while John Stones and Jesse Lingard also scored as Southgate's side recorded their biggest win at a finals.

However, Southgate believes his side can play even better as he didn't like the start and their goal at the end.

The win followed England's 2‑1 victory over Tunisia in their Group G opener.

It means England have won their opening two group‑stage games at a World Cup for only the third time, also doing so in 1982 and 2006.

England play Belgium this Friday to determine who will finish top of the standings and, despite not being pleased with some aspects of his side's play against Panama, Southgate is happy his team appear to be growing into the tournament.

Tomorrow, Saudi Arabia will play Egypt while Uruguay will play Russia at 2am, Iran will play Portugal while Spain will play Morocco at 6am.
