Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s captain Jerry Tuwai says he has learnt a big lesson after they finished second in the World Sevens Series and is ready to lead the national side to the Rugby World Cup 7s.
The national 7s side presented their I-tatau to the President Jioji Konrote this morning.
Fiji last won the World Cup in 2005 when it was held in Hong Kong before Wales and New Zealand won the 2009 and the 2013 title respectively.
Tuwai says that they have the players to do the job for Fiji.
He adds that they will continue to improve on their communication and build more combinations so that they can bring out the entertaining rugby that Fiji is known for.
Fiji has won two World Cup titles in 1997 and 2005 while they finished fifth in 2009 and third place in 2013.
Meanwhile Semi Radradra, Josua Tuisova and Leone Nakarawa will join the squad next week before they leave for Utah.
Fiji will take on either Japan or Uruguay in their first pool match on the 21st of next month.
