600 police constables will be regularised. This also means they will get higher pay.
The Police Commissioner Sitiveni Qiliho says the increase in the budget allocation for the Fiji Police Force to $193.5 million is positive.
Qiliho says that they are happy about the $24 million which was allocated for Phase 1 of a five year phase program which includes the regularization of Special Constables.
Meanwhile $2 million dollars has also been allocated for the Fiji Police Force to fund operations during the conduct of the 2018 General Election operations.
