A former police constable charged with the rape of his niece has been further remanded by Judge Justice Daniel Goundar.

It is alleged that the 41-year-old former constable raped his 17-yearold niece sometime between 1st July 2017 and 31st September 2017 in Tailevu.

State lawyer Susan Serukai sought 21 days to confirm the number of rape counts as the alleged offence occurred several times.

The matter has been adjourned to 6th August for plea.
