A man in his 30s has passed away following a road accident early this morning.
The victim was heading towards Navua after 1am when the vehicle he was driving veered off the road and hit an electric post along Tokotoko Road in Navua.
Police say that the victim was pulled out of the vehicle with the assistance from National Fire Authority personnel and was taken to the Navua Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
A post mortem will be conducted soon.
The road death toll currently stands at 36 compared to 36 for the same period last year.
