The mother of a 2-year-old child who was found wandering alone has been charged.
The 21-year-old woman is charged with one count of failure to provide necessities and will be produced in the Nasinu Magistrates Court this morning.
Police had requested for information to help identify the 2‑year‑old girl who was found wandering alone outside the home of a police officer at Pritam Singh Road in Makoi on Monday
The mother had come forward after relatives allegedly informed her of the request after seeing the plea on social media.
