Monster Chiefs prop Karl Tu'inukuafe has signed a three‑year deal with the Blues ensuring he will remain in New Zealand until at least the end of 2021.
The Auckland‑based franchise's gain is a blow to the Chiefs, given they went on the offensive after Tu'inukuafe was linked with a move to the Highlanders earlier this year.
But it's the Blues who have got their paws on the 25‑year‑old, who completed a remarkable rise up the ranks when he debuted for the All Blacks against France in June.
Meanwhile in the Super Rugby semifinals this weekend, the Crusaders will take on the Hurricanes at 7.35pm Saturday in the first semifinal while the Lions host the Waratahs at 1.05am Sunday.
