The Fiji Pensioners Association says health issues among senior citizens in the country needs urgent attention.
Association President Hari Raj Naicker says that they are seeking to get a special area in outpatient department in main Hospitals across the country where they can go to without having to wait for hours to be checked or treated.
Naicker says that they have written to the Ministry of Health on this special request.
The Association is also seeking the assistance of the government to set up a place where senior citizens can get together to socialise.
Naicker says they are also requesting for a Free Telephone Help-Line to assist them when they need urgent help.
