Students of the University of the South Pacific have taken out time to raise $5,639.96 that will go towards assisting families that were affected by the flood during cyclones Keni and Josie.
While receiving the cheque, Minister for Women, Children and Poverty and Alleviation, Mereseini Vuniwaqa says that this initiative by the students is very admirable.

Vuniwaqa says that there are many political parties out there that can diminish this sort of initiative.
She says that it burdens her to hear these sort of criticism and this should never be turned into a political issue.
Vuniwaqa says that these students are commendable because even they know, that there are students out there that need help.
