The Minister for Education has confirmed that the normal course of action has taken place where some teachers have been reported to police for misconduct.
Fijivillage had asked Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum about two cases in particular where Sayed-Khaiyum had earlier highlighted the cases of two teachers being removed from schools.
One teacher had forced students to play with their testicles while another case was that of a teacher touching a student.
He says the cases which had criminal elements had been reported to Police.
We have asked Police about the cases and are awaiting their reply.
