Thousands of people in the Dokanaisuva and Colo-i-Suva area are expected to experience low water pressure to no water supply until 6am Monday.

The affected areas include Dokanaisuva, Parts of Tacirua, Naisogo, Toninaiwau, Vunikawai Settlement, Uluibeka, Forestry Training School, Forestry Stations and Colo‑I‑Suva Village.

The Water Authority of Fiji says the disruption in supply is a result of essential works being carried out to replace a faulty clear water pump at the Wainibuku reservoir.

The pump will be back in operation soon after the repair.

However, water supply will be affected due to low water levels in the clear water reservoirs as a result of reduction in water production during this repair work.

Water supply is expected to be gradually restored from 6am Monday.
