Suva City Council workers are today cleaning blocked drains along Rodwell Road in Suva after there was flash flooding in the area last night.
The flash flooding was caused by blocked drains which led to floodwaters entering Max Value supermarket and other small shops along the area.
Some shops along Robertson Road were also affected.

Concerns have been raised about why this is happening in one of the most busy roads in the Capital City.
The Fiji Roads Authority says it is monitoring several low lying roads and crossings including the Veisari Slip on Queens Road.
The Fiji Roads Authority says they have noticed an increase in the number of drains on road reserves being frequently covered in household rubbish.
It says this not only causes pollution but it also creates extra work for the contractors.

A trough of low pressure lies slow moving over the southwestern parts of the group.
Associated cloud and showers affects Kadavu, southern and eastern parts of Viti Levu which includes the Coral Coast and areas along Nausori and Tailevu.
This is expected to affect parts of the country in the next few days.
