Jasa Veremalua will not be joining the Fiji Airways National Sevens team for the next HSBC Sevens tournament.

Coach Gareth Baber says Veremalua has been offered a contract and this will also be an opportunity for new players.

Baber adds that they are now moving into the pre-season preparation and are looking forward to some game time during the Oceania 7s Tournament.

Baber says that this will also be the first time for him to coach a national team in a tournament held locally.

He says this will help him and it will also give the players a chance to play together before the HSBC 7s Tournament.

He says that he will be scouting players in 7s tournaments that will be held in Kadavu, Vanualevu and Yasawa.

Meanwhile, defending champion of the Oceania 7s, Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s team, has been pooled with Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands for this year’s tournament.
