Staff Sergeant Iowane Naivalurua Tulele who has been charged with 32 counts of obtaining financial advantage by deception is medically fit to stand trial.
Prosecution lawyer Captain Aisea Paka today presented the Judge Advocate, President of the General Court Martial and panel members the medical certificate of the accused.
The medical certificate which was read out in the General Court Martial stated that Staff Sergeant Iowane Naivalurua Tulele was graded medically fit.
Captain Paka said that he has submitted the proposed admitted facts.
The lawyer for the accused, Filimoni Vosarogo also apologised for not appearing the last time the case was called.
He said it is the duty of all counsels to respect all courts and apologised for delaying proceedings.
Vosarogo also requested if the General Court Martial could give him a few more weeks to be able to confirm the pre-trial matters.
Captain Paka said their request was that this be the final day for the agreed facts as it will expedite the trial itself.
Staff Sergeant Iowane Naivalurua Tulele has pleaded not guilty to his charges before the General Court Martial.
The alleged incidents happened between the 8th of October 2015 to the 11th of February 2016 at Berkley Crescent.
The amount involved is close to $40,000.
The case will be called again on the 22nd of October.
