The Duke of Sussex Prince Harry has arrived at the War Memorial on Vuya Road in Nasese where he will meet a number of Fijian war veterans, some of whom served with the British Armed Forces.
Following the arrival of the Duke a moment of silence was observed where he laid a wreath.
Also present was RFMF Commander Rear Admiral Viliame Naupoto and Police Commissioner, Sitiveni Qiliho.
Residents along Vuya Road got out of their homes and students of Suva Grammar School and International School Suva broke out in cheers as the motorcade approached the War Memorial.
The Duke will then return to GPH before both he and the Duchess Meghan Markel head to the University of the South Pacific’s Laucala Campus.
Police have confirmed that traffic officers will be deployed ahead of time to direct traffic along the routes that will be taken by the Royal Couple.
Students of USP have lined the roads within USP from the entrance the Japan ICT building awaiting the arrival of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex
Students and Staff USP will have a chance to meet the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as Prince Harry will speak in his capacity as Commonwealth Youth Ambassador and Meghan Markle will also say a few words.
At 11am this morning the Duke will travel to Colo i Suva Forest Park and the Duchess to the British High Commissioner’s Residence before taking a tour of the Suva Market at 11.30am.
