NFP President and parliamentarian Pio Tikoduadua today withdrew in parliament a comment where he claimed that Minister for Lands and Mineral Resources Ashneel Sudhakar was a trustee of Vishva Hindu Parishad or VHP.
Tikoduadua made the allegation after highlighting concerns about interjections about VHP yesterday when NFP Party Leader Biman Prasad was speaking in parliament.
He says that VHP has been described by the Acting Prime Minister Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum as an extremist organisation.
Tikoduadua then claimed that VHP campaigned for FijiFirst in the 2014 General Elections.
Vishva Hindu Parishad or VHP is an Indian right‑wing Hindu nationalist organisation based on the ideology of Hindu nationalism in India.
