Ecapees Emosi Baledrokadroka, Maika Tovagone and Jonacani Qalova appeared in the Suva Magistrates Court in a special court sitting this morning and they have been remanded in custody.

The fourth escapee Suliano Rokosuka who was arrested earlier was produced in the Suva Magistrates Court yesterday and has been remanded.

The four are charged with escaping lawful custody and aggravated robbery.

They escaped from the Suva Courthouse Cell Block on Tuesday afternoon and allegedly broke into a man’s house in Tamavua at 1am on Wednesday morning and stole items worth more than $2,000.

Baledrokadroka was arrested in Nakasi while Tovagone and Qalova were arrested in Vugalei yesterday. Rokosuka was arrested on Wednesday in Wailea.

Another man, Ledua Tikotani also fronted court today charged with harbouring a prisoner at large.

He has been remanded in custody.

The case will be called again on the 14th of next month.

The search continues for the fifth escapee Niko Talemaitoga.
