The Fiji Airways Men’s National 7's team has missed out on the Cup Semifinals of the Dubai 7s after USA defeated Fiji 24-14.
Player of the Year Perry Baker had a sensational start as he crossed the try line in the 1st minute of the game scoring USA’s first try which was answered by Apenisa Cakaubalavu who broke through USA’s defence in the 6th minute.

Perry Baker had the last say in the first half scoring a try during injury time to give USA the of 12-7 going into half time.

Sevuloni Mocenacagi was yellow carded in the first 20 seconds of the second half after a high tackle to Baker giving USA the chance to score 2 tries.

Apenisa Cakaubalavu scored his second and Fiji’s last try to add to their points of 14-24.
Fiji will now face Argentina in the 5th place semifinals at 12.55am.
Meanwhile in other quarterfinal matches, England defeated South Africa 22-5, New Zealand beat Scotland 21-7 while Australia defeated Argentina 38-0.
The main Cup semifinals will see England face New Zealand at 1.17am while Australia will face USA at 1.39am.
