The Suva Retailers Association has recommended to its members and retailers in the Suva Central Business District to extend shopping hours to facilitate consumers who are working and also those who would like to do some last minute Christmas shopping.
Suva Retailers Association President, Vinay Kumar says they are suggesting that shopping hours on Friday be from normal hours till 7pm or later, Saturday to be from normal hours till 5pm or later, on Sunday from 10am till 3pm or later and on Monday which is the eve of Christmas to be from normal hours till 7pm or later.
Kumar says that they have also liaised with Police so they can have more foot patrol in the Suva Central Business District for shoppers and retailers.
