In the lead up to Christmas, Grand Pacific Hotel has set up a 22 foot Christmas tree while committing to also helping those who are less fortunate.

GPH has organised a number of local Church choirs to perform carols by the tree every Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 5.00pm to 5.45pm.

GPH invites people to join them and enjoy the music as well as the festive atmosphere and have requested that in return, people leave gifts beneath the tree with the age and gender of the child that the gift it is most suitable for.

GPH General Manager Peter Gee says the response so far has been incredible adding that cash donations have also been coming in as well.

He revealed that this is the second year that GPH has undertaken this initiative and they have pledged to assist the children of St Christopher’s Home in Nakasi.

Gee says the gifts will be delivered to the children of St Christopher’s Home on Christmas Eve.
