Fiji Airways Mens National 7s coach Gareth Baber has confirmed that he has replacements for the playmaker’s position.
We questioned Baber on who would be the best player to replace Amenoni Nasilasila as he may not be able to represent Fiji in Hamilton and Sydney due to his court case.
Baber says that the two strongest contenders for this position are Waisea Nacuqu and Terio Tamani.
Baer says that Nacuqu has been consistent in the playmaker’s position for the past two tournaments where he played in the semifinal and final of the Cape Town 7s.
He adds that Tamani has been performing well during the training sessions.
Tamani last featured for Fiji in Singapore going as a replacement for Vatemo Ravouvou.
Fiji is pooled with Australia, Argentina and Wales for the Hamilton 7s which will be held on the 26th and the 27th of next month.
