Our nation is at a cross‑road now. We must all work collectively to rebuild the unity that we all deserve as a nation.

These were the sentiments shared by Opposition leader and leader of SODELPA Sitiveni Rabuka in his new year’s message.

Rabuka also stressed in his message for the new year Fiji must put aside small differences and nurture our commonalities for unity in our diversity and if we do not, we will continue to have a very bleak future.

Rabuka also touched on his vision for Fiji in 2019 and beyond saying that based on his conviction and his faith we must build a united and progressive nation where we can live in peace and in harmony with each other.

He says that it is only by working together that we will realise our collective dream to build Fiji into a progressive, dynamic and united country, as we move forward.

The leader of Opposition says that he remains committed to consensus building, inclusive, and equitable leadership, to attain the dream of a progressive, dynamic and united Fiji.

Rabuka says that there are brighter days ahead and our perseverance and shared hope will continue to build this nation for our future generations.

He says he believes that strong leadership, and the will and commitment to listen, will bring us together to realise our dream to build Fiji into a progressive and united nation.

Rabuka says that only by working together, can we realise our collective dream, as we move forward in 2019 and beyond Call for tolerance and compassion for all.

As the sun sets on 2018, Rabuka calls for respect for all our multi‑racial, multi‑cultural and multi‑religious communities.

Rabuka says that while the people of Fiji practice different faiths, we are united in our wish for peace and he urges all to work together and help build and unite our nation.
