Police have made a total of eight drug related arrests over the weekend.
Police Chief of Intelligence and Investigations, ACP Vakacegu Toduadua says police arrested a suspect on Saturday in Brown Lane Nausori, who was in possession of 7 sachets of dried leaves wrapped in brown paper believed to be marijuana.
He says in the Western Division police conducted house raids and found 4 sachets wrapped in aluminum foil and some loose dried leaves believed to be marijuana, in Tomuka, Lautoka.
Toduadua says that police also made arrests in Martintar Nadi where officers arrested a suspect who was in possession of 18 bullets wrapped in aluminum foil in a clear zip lock bag believed to be marijuana, and in Shirley Park Lautoka a suspect was arrested and found with plastic containing 17 sachets of dried leaves believed to be marijuana.
Toduadua says in the Southern Division police searched a vehicle along Khalsa Road on Saturday and arrested two people who were found with 7 clear zip lock bags containing clear crystal believed to be methamphetamine.
He says that all suspects are in police custody and the drugs have been taken for analysis.
