The Fiji Military Forces, the Fiji Police Force and the Naval Search and Rescue Unit will be on standby to assist the public if this tropical depression turns to a cyclone.
This was highlighted by the Minister of Defense Inia Seruiratu who adds that members of the public should take heed of warnings mainly on movement on land and also by sea.
He has also advised the public to respect the advices given because safety is paramount at this stage.
Seruiratu also highlighted that the Ministry of Defense and National Security is ready to provide any assistance if and when the need arises.
