A second flight attendant has been charged over an international drug trafficking operation which was allegedly smuggling high‑grade heroin and methamphetamine into Australia.
The 48‑year‑old Malaysian man was arrested at Sydney Airport and charged with importing a border‑controlled drug.
He subsequently faced court and has been held in custody to reappear in May.
Victoria Police said in a statement issued that Police have alleged that the man brought drugs into the country by using his position as a crew member on an international airline.
He is the ninth person arrested in the sting, initially made public on January 16.
Officers seized six kilograms of heroin with a street value of A$14.5 million, eight kilograms of methamphetamine worth A$6.4 million and half a kilo of cocaine during raids on seven Melbourne properties.
