A 40-year-old bus driver who allegedly caused the death of a 65-year-old man on Tuesday has been charged and will appear in the Nasinu Magistrates Court today.

The bus driver has been charged with one count of dangerous driving causing death.

It is alleged that the victim got off the bus and was crossing the road from the front of the bus when he got hit by the bus.

Police say that the incident occurred at 2pm Tuesday on Adi Davila Road at Davuilevu Housing.

The man died at the scene.
