Today is a historic day for many families of Kavanagasau and Dubalevu communities in Sigatoka who for the first time will receive access to clean and safe water supply.

This follows the commissioning of two ground water supply project by Pleass Global Limited, Vaiwai and Rotary Pacific Water.

The community has more than 30 households and over the years they have struggled and have daily worries trying to meet their water demands however their lives have changed for good today.

Pleass Global Limited’s Managing Director, Warwick Pleass says that these types of projects are the pride of Pleass Global and they will continue to pursue enhancement of the lives of Fijians.

The partnered project in Kavanagasau and Dubalevu included the equipment of boreholes with pump, pump starter, pump protection elements, constructed water treatment systems and 10,000 litre storage tanks for each community.

Since 2007 the Rotary Pacific Water has supported 303 communities and have invested over $6 million, saying they will continue to maintain their vision of enabling healthier communities through access to safe drinking water and adequate sanitation.
