A man who was allegedly involved with about 40 other people in an early morning street robbery last November has pleaded not guilty to four counts of aggravated robbery in the Suva High Court.

It was heard in court today that out of the 40 people that were allegedly involved in the robbery, only 18-year-old Osea Lawedua was charged by Police.

The Prosecution in the case told Justice Daniel Goundar that it was a street boy that identified the accused through his nickname  “Tevoro” but Police are continuing investigations.

Lawedua is accused of robbing four people of assorted items and cash on 17th November last year.

The four were walking along Victoria Parade when Lawedua with others allegedly attacked them.

The incident happened at around 4 in the morning in front of the Suva City Library.

One of those assaulted and robbed was a FijiFirst Party Agent.
