Manchester United caretaker manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said the side’s fans were treated to a “typical Old Trafford finish” as they came from 2‑0 down to rescue a dramatic point against Burnley in the English Premier League today.

The two teams drew 2-2.

United were facing their first defeat under Solskjaer until Paul Pogba scored from the penalty spot in the 87th minute and Victor Lindelof scrambled in a 92nd‑minute equaliser.

The draw means United fail to move level on points with fourth‑placed Chelsea, while Burnley go up a place to 15th, four points clear of the relegation zone.

Meanwhile, Manchester City’s title hopes suffered a huge blow as Newcastle came from a goal down to record a remarkable victory over the defending champions at St James' Park.

The defending champions lost 2-1.

City now have 56 points and are 4 points behind current league leaders Liverpool who have 60 points.

In others matches, Arsenal defeated Cardiff City 2-1, Wolves thrashed West Ham 3-0, Huddersfield lost to Everton 1-0 while Fulham defeated Brighton 4-2.
