A man charged with three counts of rape and one count each of assault causing actual bodily and sexual assault appeared in the Nasinu Magistrates Court today.

Shiu Chand allegedly raped a 25-year-old woman on the 18th of this month in Nasinu.

Magistrate Charles Ratakele has granted Chand bail in the sum of $1000 with 2 sureties, each with a surety bond of $1000.

The case has been transferred to the Suva High Court to be called on the 13th of next month.
