Apple has temporarily disabled its group Facetime feature over a bug that could let someone eavesdrop on you.

The security flaw was first noticed by a 14-year-old in the US about 10 days ago and it enabled callers to secretly listen in on your phone.

The 14-year-old said he could hear his friend talking even though no one had answered the call.

Apple says it is aware of the issue and they have identified a fix that will be released in a software update later this week.

Another bug at times streamed videos when a recipient thought they had declined the call.

So what can apple users do now ? - they can still Facetime just one person or disable Facetime all together.
