Blockbusting Fijian winger Nemani Nadolo has retired from playing international rugby making the announcement on his official Facebook page this morning.

In that post, Nadolo wrote that he has decided to call a day playing for his beloved country Fiji.

He went on to say that the moment he debuted as a caretaker of the jersey back in 2010 he would have never thought he would have played for this long and represented the tiny island of Fiji.

Nadolo says he has faced a few challenges over the last 18 months, both on and off the field.

The 30-year-old wrote that after speaking to his partner for a long period of time about this he felt it was the right decision for him and his family moving forward.

Nadolo says he believes the Flying Fijians team belongs to the people of Fiji and its because of the people the players find the motivation to play everytime they get the opportunity.

The winger adds with the depth and current crop of outside backs coming through he has no doubt that the next "caretakers" of the jersey will do a better job.

Nadolo will continue to play for his club Montpellier joining his teammate Timoci Nagusa who also announced his retirement from international rugby earlier this week.
