Counter rucking comes with good decision making and is a continuous work in progress for the Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s team heading into the Sydney 7s this weekend.

Speaking from Sydney, Coach Gareth Baber who was happy with the overall decision making by the team in Hamilton says that for any counter ruck there has to be a good tackle.

Baber says sometimes the better decision is just to leave it to the opposition as it often does not pay the fruit one requires.

He says they continue to work on when they can best decide to counter ruck.

Fiji will face Japan in their first pool match of the Sydney 7s at 12.34pm Saturday and meet England at 6pm while Fiji will play their last pool game against Samoa at 10pm Saturday.

The Cup quarterfinals start at 1.16pm Sunday, the semifinals start at 5.16pm while the final will start at 9.56pm Sunday.
