The Fiji Roads Authority will conduct another geo technical assessment at Dilkusha Hill in Nausori in the coming weeks to determine the design and permanent solution.

A major landslide a few weeks ago caused the closure of Princes Road at Dilkusha and two vehicles were also pushed down to the bank of the Rewa River.

Some people who use the road daily to pick and drop their children to Dilkusha Girls School have told Fijivillage that a number of big trees are still on hill top next to the slip area and they fear that another heavy downpour may bring them down.

When questioned, the FRA says officials from the Ministry of Forestry have already cut some trees.

The FRA says that one side of the footpath remains closed and they continue to monitor this for any changes.
