Man in Sigatoka police custody for allegedly raping a 19-year-old student

A 26-year-old man is in custody at the Sigatoka Police Station for allegedly raping a 19-year-old student.

The man allegedly committed the offence while the victim was gardening.

The student managed to free herself after she grabbed hold of a stick and knocked the man unconscious.
