A heavy downpour last night has left several roads in Rewa, Korovou and Sigatoka affected by flood waters and restricted to traffic.
The Fiji Roads Authority has confirmed that three crossings in Rewa, six crossings in Korovou and two crossings in Sigatoka are closed off to all traffic due to flood waters.
FRA has also highlighted that access from Dawasamu to Bureiwai in Ra is restricted to all vehicles as Dawasamu Road is affected by flood waters while multiple sections on Namoli Road and Red Hill near Draubuta Road junction in Sigatoka is only open to heavy duty vehicles.
The Nadi Weather Office says people living in Korovou, Nausori, Suva, Navua, Deuba and Sigatoka, Lomaiviti group, Kadavu and Vanua Levu can expect rain to continue till the weekend.
This is due to a weak trough that is currently over the Fiji group and another trough of low pressure approaching Fiji from the far east that will bring rain this weekend.
