The Golden Globe Fiji Water girl has turned on the company that made her famous.
Model Kelleth Cuthbert managed to infiltrate snaps of stars like Idris Elba, Amy Adams, Dakota Fanning and Jim Carrey while holding a tray of bottled Fiji Water.
Afterwards the brand used her photos to create cardboard cut‑outs as part of a global marketing campaign.
Newshub reports that Cuthbert is now suing Fiji Water, for using her image without authorisation and an attempt to pressure her into signing a fake document.
You will think that I've been cloned, but those are actually cardboards that mother (@FIJIWater) is spreading worldwide. Marketing first!

P.S: I dare you to steel one and take it to your home with you. I'd you do, send me a pic. 😈🤡 #thewatergirl #fijiwater pic.twitter.com/IeCztOGlx2
Her legal representatives says suing Fiji Water was the last resort for Cuthbert who had hoped to discretely resolve this dispute.
Her legal representatives adds that Fiji Water used her image without a contract, without consent and without even paying her.
A spokesperson for Fiji Water called the lawsuit frivolous and entirely without merit.
The spokesperson adds that after the Golden Globes social media moment, they negotiated a generous agreement with Cuthbert that she blatantly violated.
