Three men are in custody at the Lautoka Police Station for allegedly robbing a woman in her 60s of more than $15,000 cash and cheques outside the ANZ Bank Namaka Branch last Wednesday.
The woman was on her way to the bank with the money when she was robbed.
Police say all the suspects are in their 20s and one is believed to be a former employee of the company where the 60-year-old victim works.
Police say the man who grabbed and ran away with the woman’s bag was chased by a security officer and two other men but he fled in a grey hybrid car with an unknown registration.
