Bob Dharmendra Pal and Nag Chandra Prakash who have been charged with 2 counts each of motor vehicle theft have been released on bail.
It is alleged that on the 12th of May last year, they stole a Toyota Fielder taxi registration LT194 which was valued at $38,000.
It is also alleged that the two on the same day stole another Toyota Fielder LT4834 valued at close to $24,000.
The case will be called on April 29th.
Police say the matter came to light when the owner of a black Fielder that was stolen in November, recognised his roof rack on another red Fielder parked at the CWM Hospital carpark on Thursday.
The car owner then revealed to Police this was similar to one that was mounted on his stolen car.
Police arrested the suspect and upon further investigation, information was gathered on the second suspect's involvement in the alleged theft of vehicles last year.
According to Police, the red Fielder seized from near the CWM Hospital was also allegedly stolen from Samabula in May last year and was stripped and repainted from silver grey to red.
Police then later searched for the second suspect at Korociriciri in Nausori where they arrested the man who was found allegedly driving the black fielder which was stolen in November last year.
